In the long value chain spanning from the origination of knowledge to the use of knowledge in business and society Prasetiya Mulya University consciously positions itself closer to the uses of knowledge considering the serious deficit of entrepreneurship that Indonesia has been suffering all along. The Prasetiya Mulya Business School is acclaimed for its practice orientation and has evolved into a business school of choice in both degree programs and executive learning.
With the purpose of serving business, and thereby, Indonesia better the University diversified into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) starting in 2017. With this diversification, the University is now equipped to pursue technology-based businesses in collaboration with industries and companies of complementary missions.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is the pioneer of the MBA program and the leading business school in Indonesia. The institution was established in 1982 by members of the country’s prominent business leaders with the aim to serve as an excellent center of learning for its partners: business entrepreneurs, professionals, and researchers.
The first campus that occupied a 1.5-hectare area at Cilandak, Jakarta was inaugurated in 1984. For more than 30 years, Cilandak Campus has been the center for graduate business and management programs (full time and evening programs) and houses the PM Executive Learning Institute that offers various programs to meet the different needs of the individual and corporations by emphasizing applicative and interactive business-learning processes that implement business concepts in real-world situations.
In 2005, by commencing with an undergraduate program, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya affirmed the dedication of the founders to educate young Indonesian entrepreneurs. Ever since, the student enrolment show increasing numbers and consequent, more space was needed. In late 2009, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya started building the second campus with a total area of the hectares located in a fledging suburban area southwest of Jakarta, Edutown-Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City.
The BSD Campus offers a pleasant atmosphere for study, away from Jakarta’s congestion, supported by superior campus facilities. The new campus built particularly to serve undergraduate students better and more creatively symbolizes Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s commitment to offering the highest standards of excellence in the education and creation of successful entrepreneurs and business professionals.
In early 2016, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was transformed into a university of the future, in response to the diverse challenges of the 21st century. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya set itself to be the pioneer of a collaborative university in Indonesia.
