S1 Renewable Energy Engineering program will answer these global issues. With a comprehensive curriculum, students will learn through computer-based energy engineering simulation, experimentation, and prototyping. Students will learn resource management feedstock processing, power generation, energy efficiency, and conservation. Students will be involved in experimental projects from pilot scale up to industrial scale and complemented with engineering entrepreneurship through energy management courses and pre-commercial trials.
The curriculum in the Renewable Energy Engineering Study Program is not only focused on engineering subjects but is also combined with knowledge in business and management. The curriculum consists of four main components, are content containing the basics of engineering science, special content relate to the competence of renewable energy engineering science, content of knowledge relate to entrepreneurship and content of personal development/soft skills.
The content of the basics of engineering science and engineering relate to renewable energy is the largest portion representing 70% of the subject load. This content will consist of science relate to chemistry and bioenergy, physics, mechanics and energy, including the burden of completing group projects and Final Projects.
Undergraduate Renewable Energy Engineering curriculum in the manufacturing process is prepared based on a thorough study of the academic community of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, comparative studies of similar study programs abroad and involving energy industry players as well as experts from educational and research institutions both from within and outside the country.
A graduate of Renewable Energy Engineering as an energy expert, especially renewable energy is very broad. This is because the energy sector is one of the strategic sectors of a country, especially in Indonesia.
