FIRST Doctor of Management and Entrepreneurship Program IN INDONESIA

In early 2020, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya launched Indonesia’s first Doctor in Management and Entrepreuship Program. The first of its kind, this uniquely designed doctoral program integrates multiple facets of business management principles, entrepreneurship theories, holistic executive insights, and in-depth market knowledge with robust empirical-based analysis to solve complex market issues of today and to advance new knowledge for tomorrow.

Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program combines interdisciplinary management and entrepreneurship perspectives, theoretical concepts, and collective industry insights to push new boundaries of knowledge and produce new solutions for the business sector.

Our program aims to advance visionary business leaders to develop into prominent mastery, capable of significantly solving highly complex issues faced by firms, industries, and markets alike while providing them a new path toward serving as educators for the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Education Purposes
  1. To make the School of Business and Economics of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya a leading national private university that becomes a reference for business and research development in Indonesia through improving the quality of multi-methodological research training to make a significant contribution to the development of science in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
  2. To produce students who become members of the community who have academic and professional abilities who can apply, maintain, develop, and/or create knowledge.
  3. To make the School of Business and Economics of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya a Reference Center for Management and Entrepreneurship Doctor Education.
  4. To produce business consultants who can think in a transdisciplinary, holistic, and futuristic way to help companies compete in the global marketplace.
  5. To improve managerial capacity and quality of educational resources to be more professional and productive to achieve national and international accreditation standards.
  6. To improve the ability to work creatively, and to be able to develop new knowledge and methods.

Improve the ability of visionary business leaders to become leading scientists who can formulate complex problems faced by organizations, communities, and nations; and develop new solutions through interdisciplinary research.

Mission
  1. To provide quality education services in Doctor of Management and Entrepreneurship for business actors, leaders, and researchers.
  2. To produce graduates who can provide effective knowledge-based solutions to increase the competitive advantage of Indonesian companies at the global level while upholding professional ethics and human values.
  3. To contribute to the development of management and entrepreneurial business disciplines and practices for the development of the business world and the improvement of human well-being.

Once a year (March) – study period: 3-5 years

Class schedule:
Regular Classes: Fridays 18.30 p.m. – 21.30 p.m. and Saturdays 09.00 a.m. – 16.30 p.m.

– 1 Semester = 14 study weeks + 2 exam weeks

– Credit: 50 credits (SKS)

– Enrolled students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The curriculum at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program equips its students with the knowledge and ability to navigate the complex and uncertain business ecosystem in today’s highly disrupted economy. Our learning process encourages doctoral students to explore new business processes and methodologies, exploit hidden market opportunities, and unlock new technological resources to achieve sustainable growth and long-term value for businesses.

The program’s core focus lies in supporting and facilitating its students to produce significant and practical contributions to industries and companies. In addition to the subjects in the curriculum, the program also plans to conduct various mini-workshops on current business topics and theories. These workshops will be set up to help doctoral students to comprehend the growing complexities and uncertainties with the current market’s ecosystem and advance their competencies to formulate relevant and novel business solutions and the new business models of tomorrow.
