With the growth of global economy, environmental issues and business activities are also expanding and becoming more complex. These cause each company to create more innovative business strategies.

With the growing complexity in business, the role of the economist is not only required as a public policymaker, but also as a part of the business decision-making process based upon knowledge and skills in economics.

Therefore, University Prasetiya Mulya presents a Business Economics study program that is designed to answer the needs of companies of experts who can apply economic theory into business practices and take advantage of opportunities in the future.

Soft Skills: The undergraduates of Business Economics program will be equipped with relevant soft skills designed to prepare them to be ready for the global market. These soft skills are honed through our subjects (Personal Development and Community Development) and workshops (Business Communication and Learning Skills, as well as foreign language beginner level.) The soft skills that are relevant for the graduates are:

  1. Excellent work ethics: able to set his/her priority correctly and able to work in a team.
  2. Intellectual humility: possesses ample dose of humility and integrity.
  3. Good communication: able to communicate solutions in simple sentences.
  4. Entrepreneurship: has entrepreneurial traits (risk taker with calculation, initiator, and could find an opportunity).
  5. Responsibility: gives added value to the society with his/her specialization.

Hard Skills: We also provide hard skill workshops that are based on industrial demand to prepare students to get certifications such as advanced Excel, and data science certification. Therefore, our students are prepared to work in the industries immediately after they graduate since they already have the required hard skills that the industries need.
