Product Design Innovation

Profil

Dr. Nurmalia is a faculty member in the Product Design Innovation Study Program at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Indonesia. Her expertise lies in materials and design. During her postgraduate and postdoctoral research at the University of Osaka, Japan, she specialized in ultrasonic non-destructive testing and evaluation for material inspection. She also contributed to the development of an alternative ultrasonic transducer design, namely the Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT).

Following her return to Indonesia, her research interest in material inspection has continued to evolve. She is currently engaged in research on material exploration through the utilization of waste materials, although intermittently. Her work demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing the value of underutilized materials and contributing to sustainability through the effective use of recycled resources.
