Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya for 2020-2024 is themed “Strengthening Collaborative Business Ecosystem”. This Renstra was prepared to prepare and strengthen changes in the business landscape and increase the role of SBE as a locomotive for the advancement of collaborative learning by entrepreneurship at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya  for the 2020-2024 period.

 “Strengthening Collaborative Business Ecosystem” is part of SBE Prasetiya Mulya’s preparation as one of the schools that is ready to face changes in the education ecosystem in the future. For this reason, SBE Prasetiya Mulya must actively partner with the best global business schools, professional associations, businesses, industries, the Indonesian diaspora, and government and non-government institutions.

 In the next four years, SBE Prasetiya Mulya is expected to be able to position itself as part of the first group of business schools to introduce a global context business ecosystem approach. SBE Prasetiya Mulya as one of the national assets, in the future is expected to become a benchmark and reference for the development of business knowledge and education in Indonesia as well as a driver of change for the Indonesian nation to be more competitive and advanced.

Operational Plan

The Operational Plan (Renop) which outlines the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the School of Business and Economics (SBE), Universitas Prasetiya Mulya   has been approved by the Dean of SBE on July 20, 2020. The SBE Renop of Prasetiya Mulya University is part of the work guidelines for each work unit within the SBE environment. Some of the programs in this Renop are also a collection of programs from the previous period, which serve as a reference (baseline) in determining programs until 2024. The preparation of programs in the Renop refers to the strategic issues of the SBE Renstra in general.

8th Operational Plan

By understanding the challenges of the School of Business and Economics (SBE) Universitas Prasetiya Mulya that have been described above and related to the theme of Strengthening Business School Ecosystems, the strategic plan will focus on seven basic strategies (grand strategies), namely:

  1. Relevance of the learning process that strengthens hard and soft skills needed in the future,
    • Collaborative project-based learning.
    • Case study analysis.
    • Simulation.
    • Involvement of companies and social institutions in the learning process.
    • Courses implemented using the hybrid method.
    • Number of courses delivered in English for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
    • Student exchange.
    • Immersion programs with reputable foreign universities.
  2. Increasing the qualifications and rank levels of Faculty Member (FM)
    • Acceleration program to increase the number of FMs with doctoral education level.
    • Acceleration program for Academic Position Levels (JJA).
  3. Maintaining the quality of new students and strengthening students’ hard and soft skills,
    • Quality, quantity, and diversity of applicants.
    • Diversity in student composition.
    • Improving the quality and quantity of active involvement in competitions related to science, art, and sports at national and international levels.
    • Development of student character and soft skills.
    • Student involvement in research and community service (PkM) programs.
    • Alumni participation in various activities at Prasetiya Mulya.
  4. Increasing the quantity and quality of research,
    • Conducting creative and innovative research for the business context in Indonesia.
    • Increasing publication and dissemination of various school research results at the local, national, and international levels.
  5. Improving the quality of community service (PkM),
    • The quality of the PkM program.
    • Increasing participation in the community, business world, and government institutions through the PkM program.
  6. Independence and sustainability of SBE,
    • Source income from education.
    • Source income from non-education.
  7. Dual SBE and industry collaboration,
    • FM involvement in consulting, mentoring, and training activities for company executives.
    • Company involvement in preparing business case studies.
  8. Good Governance
    • Obtaining superior national accreditation.
    • Obtaining AACSB accreditation.

These eight basic strategies are not only used as a conceptual framework to achieve the strategic plan objectives but are also implied in the “Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Statutes”

Conclusion

The outcomes of the eight strategies’ implementation, monitoring, and evaluation demonstrate that the indicators of the School of Business and Economics Operational Plan were met. The operational plan was met 73.03% in 2020, 73.73% in 2021, 92,30% in 2022 and 84.76% in 2023.
